Morning all, I am wanting to do gearbox oil change on my x5 with 180k on it but I went to check the clutch’s on diagnostic and e clutch is showing 750 which is at it max. The car has no running issues so do you thing it will be safe to change or just leave it.

It could be a central locking fuse. Look in your manual and/or fuse card in upper glove box to see witch fuse you need to check. you might also pull the central locking switch and check its' function and connector on bottom. If someone spilled a liquid on it, it could be shorting or not working.

The X5 just had a 2 week holiday at the local BMW store, all they could do was change the trans fluid, which hasn't had much if any effect. Of course, they are wanting to change the whole tranny but on driving it does not slip in any gear and feels very solid. There are 62,000 miles or 100,000 km on the X5, just recently off warranty.

ZF - transmission manufacturer (and same transmissions are used in Jaguars, Maserati's and some Audi's) recommend transmission fluid/filter change intervals as 50 -70k miles.
